Toronto, ON (September 8th, 2016) – Constellation HomeBuilder Systems, provider of software solutions for the homebuilding industry, will host 200+ builders for their annual conference on November 14-16, 2016. Building Cities, Creating Connections will bring major home builders from across North America to the upscale J.W. Marriott hotel, a beautifully restored heritage property in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
With well over 50 software training sessions on the latest product updates, future roadmaps, networking events, user groups, and live demos of new software, builders will learn to maximize each area of their software, and to further streamline the flow of information between them. From analysts to CEOs, superintendents and managers, attendees can expect to come away with actionable insights and spend time with 200 of their peers – with similar experiences and solutions to share.
“Every day, we work with builders looking for new efficiencies in technologies and operations,” says Chris Graham, Vice President of Constellation HomeBuilder Systems. “We discuss new products and features, user training and adoption, and best practices, benchmarking and industry trends. Spending two days at the Constellation conference brings all of this together – with builders like you.”
The conference features Amazon.com #1 bestselling author Garrison Wynn, revealing the secret to how influence beats logic, and helping builders improve communication across departments. An expert in operational excellence and customer satisfaction, Charlie Scott will present best practices on how builders can impact buyer satisfaction throughout the build cycle and down the road. Charlie is well-known to the industry: as judge of the National Housing Quality Awards, an author and a contributing editor for Professional BuilderMagazine, and Director of Woodland, O’Brien & Scott, recently acquired by Constellation HomeBuilder Systems.
Attendees will also see innovative products and services from Constellation’s partners and sponsors: DocuSign, G.1440, informXL and Progress will help builders keep ahead of the competition.
The Constellation HomeBuilder Systems annual customer conference has grown to become a primary industry event for builders. Seats are limited, and the conference is expected to sell out before the deadline of October 14. Register today!

Our 2015 Customer Conference: Discovering Natural Treasures in Amelia Island, Florida.
Last week, over 200 of our customers and guests gathered in Amelia Island, Florida to celebrate #TREASURES2015. From training to networking, our builders filled the three-day conference with memorable, treasured moments.
Keynote presentations by J.P. Pawliw-Fry and Jason Forrest pushed us out of our comfort zones to Perform Under Pressure. Speaking of pressure, our very own product managers were offered up as bait to our hungry sharks in the Homebuilder Shark Tank session (only one of four ideas was alive after the sharks finished with them). We then put our builders in the spotlight to showcase some ideas and processes that build culture and drive results.
A little rain didn’t stop our beach party fun, with leis and selfie sticks to bring us together even indoors. We are always thrilled to see customers crossing bridges of geography and competition to learn from one another. This year, a renewed focus on user groups brought some fantastic new ideas to the table across all product groups.
The Constellation Awards recognized the builders who excelled this year in terms of innovation and efficiency, as well as their social media abilities. We thanked all guests this year with signed copies of our keynote speakers’ books, as well as Tiles that will keep their own treasures (or at least their keys) close to them at all times.
Share the moments with us through the gallery below, and see you all next year!

Our 2015 Customer Conference: Discovering Natural Treasures in Amelia Island, Florida.
All customers are invited to join us on Amelia Island in Florida, for our 2015 Customer Conference: Discovering Natural Treasures. This year, our conference will focus on software training and user group sessions, keynote speakers with a focus on leadership, and networking events and activities to engage with our customers.
A big part of our focus for the two days of sessions is in-depth software training. Based on your feedback, this year’s sessions will highlight user groups, best practices, solutions, modules and features to help you make the most of your time at the conference – and maximize your impact when you return to work.
We have also discovered two new and engaging keynote speakers to kick-start our mornings. JP Pawliw-Fry is a leadership and performance expert who will help us do our best when it matters most with Performing Under Pressure. Jason Forrest, the Idea Man, will convince us that our beliefs have more to do with our success than our abilities.
From hearty buffet breakfasts to a sunset dinner on the beach, networking with builders like you is an important benefit of attending a Constellation conference. This year, you can opt to join fellow builders for a round of golf at The Golf Club of Amelia Island, or for horseback riding on the beach.
For Builder360, BuildTopia, FAST and NEWSTAR customers, user groups provide a forum for customers to discuss new ideas and best practices for their software solution. For NEWSTAR customers, we will be rolling out a new user group format. Join us Monday at 4:00PM for an update on 2015 and what’s in store for the future. The group will break out into functional teams that will meet quarterly starting in 2016. The NEWSTAR functional groups are: Sales, Production & Purchasing, Construction & Customer Care, and Finance. Join the functional group that best meets your needs, or power users can join them all!
We hope that all Constellation customers are able to find some time in their busy schedules to join our conference this year. Here are some thoughts from our builders who attended our PARTNERS 2014 conference in Dallas last year:
“I have been extremely impressed from day one of looking for a product to keep us on the cutting edge of technology. It was wonderful to be able to network with other customers and all the staff from Constellation that attended.”
“It is so much more beneficial to have face-to-face time with Constellation and other builders than trying to convey ideas and concepts through emails.”
“I have been to several conferences in my years and this was by far the most beneficial. I loved being able to create my own agenda for our Constellation products.”
We look forward to welcoming you to Amelia Island!
From November 4-6, Constellation HomeBuilder Systems hosted over 200 guests from across the United States and Canada at the gorgeous JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. The three-day event brought our home building customers together with 25 representatives of the Constellation team, keynote speakers from home building and beyond, as well as Professional Buildermagazine’s BENCHMARK Roundtables guests.
We are excited to see our customers taking time out of their busy schedules and out of their comfort zones to interact with fellow – often competitive – builders. With networking events tied closely to keynote and training sessions, the conference promoted discussion amongst builders, who were ready and eager to learn.
Our cocktail reception kicked off the conference, allowing customers to unwind with a cocktail as they arrived in Arizona. As the night wore on, a little Arizona rain shower kept everyone on their toes.
Dr. Nick Bontis kicked off the conference the next morning, with a lively keynote on the modern stresses of “information bombardment” and how to manage and maximize the data coming at you by the minute. Test your own ability to manage this information on nick’s website. A panel of top builders then discussed operations and how Constellation systems can be used to keep information flowing through the organization.

Lunch – the food at Camelback was incredible – was held alongside a mini “trade show” where builders had the opportunity to demo peripheral software to enhance their existing systems, including land development, custom reporting, digital marketing, and electronic signature applications. The afternoons brought a combination of software training sessions specific to the builder’s ERP system, or complementary keynotes delivered by Charlie Scott of Woodland, O’Brien, and Scott, Michael White of G1440, and Blayne Parrish of Center6.
Day two kicked off with Scott Sedam of TrueNorth on the Lean Building Revolution, and Drew Gallanar of DocuSign discussing how home builders can use electronic signatures to streamline the sales process. Read DocuSign’s press release about integrating with Constellation’s software for home builders.
Software training again filled the afternoon with ideas and strategies, until Denis Leonard closed the conference with the Steps to Performance Excellence which tied into the next day’s events. Professional Builder magazine hosted Constellation builders at the National Housing Quality Awards, then kicked off the BENCHMARK Roundtables on Thursday.
Thank you to all customers who were able to join us in Scottsdale. It was exciting for us to have you all in one place again, networking and sharing ideas. We are looking forward to next year!
We almost forgot: before the Conference kicked off, we hit the links of the Camelback Golf Club with home builders who should shouldn’t quit their day jobs! (Nor should any Constellation golfers.) Here’s a quick video of the Best “Constellation Swingers” Caught on Tape! Vote for your favourite swinger in the comments!
“I want to thank [the Constellation team] for giving us so much time and attention. You all went out of your way to answer our questions and concerns. We are looking forward to building our relationship in the future.”
“Thank you for your time and personal attention during the conference. Your conference was the best I have ever attended, and I felt that the structure truly met our goals as attendees. The networking was great, the seminars were very helpful and the keynote speakers were amazing.”
